Case Study 01

Client Profile

An early-career candidate with a Level 3 Skills Bootcamp in Project Management and a BA (Hons) in Mass Communications from the University of Hertfordshire. Their background included experience with technical systems such as EDGE, AES and Dropbox, alongside customer service responsibilities as a Retail Advisor.

Challenges

Despite relevant exposure to project-related tools and transferable skills, the client’s CV did not position them as a viable Junior or Assistant Project Manager candidate. Their capabilities in organisation, leadership, stakeholder communication and workflow co-ordination were present but not articulated in a project-oriented way.

My Approach

I reframed the CV to highlight project-aligned competencies, integrating both behavioural and technical skills. I foregrounded experience with systems, tools and processes, and translated their customer service achievements into project-relevant strengths such as organisation, prioritisation, problem-solving and budget awareness. Achievement-led bullet points and sector-relevant terminology improved both ATS performance and recruiter clarity.

Outcome & Testimony

Within four weeks, the client secured more than seven interviews for project-focused opportunities.

“This led to me securing over seven interviews in the space of four weeks. I now understand the difference between PMO and Project Management & I secured a Project Management role within the Insurance Industry!”
